Our Pupils’ Introduction to the Art of Origami

At St. Claret Primary School, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our pupils recently had an exciting introduction to the fascinating art of origami—the traditional Japanese practice of transforming a simple sheet of paper into beautiful and creative shapes through folding.

The activity provided learners with a fun, hands-on experience that encouraged them to think creatively while developing essential life skills. As they carefully followed each fold, they enhanced their concentration, patience, problem-solving abilities, and fine motor skills. Origami also promotes imagination, precision, and confidence as learners discover that simple materials can be turned into amazing works of art.

The classroom was filled with excitement as pupils proudly created different designs, sharing ideas and encouraging one another throughout the session. The activity highlighted the importance of creativity, teamwork, and perseverance while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.

At St. Claret Primary School, we remain committed to providing holistic education by exposing our learners to enriching co-curricular activities that nurture their talents, creativity, and critical thinking skills. We believe that every child has unique potential, and activities like origami help unlock their imagination while preparing them for a bright future.

We look forward to more engaging and innovative learning experiences that inspire our pupils to explore, create, and excel.

“Folding paper, unfolding creativity.”
